Aprigo Is Pulling Out Of China

by Tsahy Shapsa on January 14, 2010

We at Aprigo have been following the recent Google scandal happening in China, which led to Google’s brave decision to pull out of that market following an organized attack against their cloud infrastructure and a breaching of their customer’s data. Putting values before business is always a tough decision, but here at Aprigo we firmly believe that values and ethics are the only way to do business.

Aprigo is all about helping IT managers protect their data and so data security and data privacy are near and dear to our hearts.

We have therefore decided to work with the Chinese government in a final attempt to avoid the pull out of China, and channel our operations to markets in which data protection and data privacy are  common denominators between governments, businesses, and individuals.

Disclaimer:

Aprigo at present has no operations established in China and we don’t expect to be able to impact the Chinese force’s decision making process, but still.
